5 things you should know about Mahindra BE 6e electric SUV

Mahindra BE 6e is powered by single electric motor capable of producing 380 Nm of torque with a power out put of whooping 282 bhp! The best part is that the Mahindra BE 6e is a rear wheel drive electric SUV. Therefore it is going to be a fun to drive car. The Mahindra BE 6e can to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. The BE 6e is based on INGLO platform which uses BYD's blade cell technology batteries which is 79 kWh battery pack. Mahindra is also working with VW group to procure the EV technology.

#1 Performance: 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 secs!

#2 Range: 500+ km

Mahindra has claimed that you need to charge your BE 6e only once in week. So that you will not have the EV range anxiety issues. With INGLO platform the Mahindra BE 6e is capable of doing 500 km + easily. Which is almost better than driving a diesel powered SUV that can drive 400km to 500 kms on a full fuel tank. Therefore the BE 6e makes a perfect long travel distance with ease. On the other side the EV charging infrastructure is getting developed at rapid pace.

#3 Safety features: ADAS level 2 + 7 Airbags

The Mahindra BE 6e is equipped with a wide variety of advanced feature such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with level 2 configuration making it safe enough that applies automatic brakes when there is any obstacle in front of the vehicle. Addition to this the BE 6e is equipped with 360 degree cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors to keep you alert about the vehicle surroundings. You also get 7 airbags as a standard.

#4 Advanced cockpit: race ready cockpit

The Mahindra BE 6e is equipped with most advanced interiors you can experience in any other car available in on sale in India. The Interiors are just like straight from the future with dual 12.3 inch screens and 16 speaker system by Harman Kardon with Dolby Atmos. The gear shifter is inspired by the fighter jet and also few buttons look exaclty like cockpit from the fighter jet. Interiors are very modern and are spacious. The roof of BE 6e is made up of glass and comes with a sporty spoiler.

The design of the Mahindra BE 6e is very modern, edgy and you can sense the inspire from a fighter jet. The BE 6e stands out on the roard because of its design will appeal to the sedan lovers as well. The overall shape of the BE 6e is as of a cross over of Sedan and SUV. Mahindra designers have used their sketchboard and talent at full capacity and also use of excelled manufacturing capabilities.

In summary, Mahindra BE 6e is the most advaced fun to drive electric SUV launched at starting price of 18.90 lakhs (ex showroom) More details will be available in early 2025. In my opinion Mahindra has made the BE 6e a world class product that could appeal to international market as well. I would be more keen to buy one if available on sale in Germany. There are news that the BE 6e and the XEV 9e are getting tested in South korea to launch in international market. Well done Mahindra! Cant wait to get a hands on driving experience.
