NIO ET 7: EV that changed my perspective

#1 Impressive range: 800+ km

When the NIO experience center handed me the keys of the NIO ET 7, it had almost range of 860 km! That too in 5 degree celcius temperature. NIO's claimed range for the ET 7 is around 1050 km thanks to its 150 kWh lithium ion battery pack. This battery pack is developed in collaboration with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd. NIO also has developed many other inhouse capabilities and their battery pack is one of them. By the way this battery can be swapped in 3 mins with a fully charged battery on the NIO's battery swapping stations, currently there are 17 battery swapping stations in Germany.

#2 Powerful peformance: 653 hp & 911 Nm torque

I was using ECO mode during my test drive & honestly I was scared to drive the NIO ET 7 above 50 km/h. Because the NIO ET 7 has dual motor producing massive 653 hp output with 911 Nm torque. The ET 7 went from 20 km/h to 50 km/h in milliseconds and I had my Fast & furious moment after using Nitrox Oxide! I was pushed in to the seats. The NIO ET 7 can go from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds! The car wheighing almost 2500 kgs! This is one of the fastest cars I have ever driven.

#3 Luxurious interiors: Nomi your PA

The NIO ET 7 is a premium sedan that competes directly with Mercedes Benz EQS, BMW 7 series and Lucid Air. It could be a best chauffer driven car but at the same time fun to drive by the owner as well. The interiors gives you the feeling as of you are flying through business class. It has a massive panaromic sun roof along with centrally mounted 16.3 inch touch screen display. Drive also gets a HUD along with a rectangular driver display. Overall the touch and feel inside the cabin is ultra premium. Also you get all seats with massage functionality. "Nomi" is your personal assistant inside the cabin and she can help you to manage your ET 7 on the voice command. Nomi is very responsive and interactive as well.

#4 Sustainable material: Karuun

NIO is the first car manufacturer to use the "Karuun", a sustainble material made from rattan palm. So there no leather nor faux lether, cheap plastics used in the interior in the ET 7. In my opnion Karuun feels very soft yet sturdy material. Thats why the interiors of the ET 7 feels like a high quality and high standard compared to any other car interiors available on the sale. Congratulations to the NIO's interior design team for thinking about sustaibility on the interior design as well.

#5 Advanced technology: Intelligent driving, AI Chasis

In a summary the NIO ET 7 has changed my perspective towards electric vehicles. I would definitely urge you all to take a chance to test drive electric vehicles and then make an opinion about it. The NIO ET 7 is perfect example how domestic manufacturers in the different parts of the world are developing electric vehicles causing German car manufacturers difficult to compete. From price perspective the NIO ET 7 is priced at €69.900 without battery. The battery rental per month starts at around €169 per month. Besides this yes you can buy the ET 7 with battery at €81.900. The price is way to low compared to EQS, BMW 7 series and Lucid air, making it a perfect option to consider.

NIO has filed and obtained more than 9300 patents, this reflects how technologically advanced NIO cars are. NIO ET 7 is equipped with watchtower type of sensors that continuously monitors vehicle surroundings and alters the drivers. The ET 7 is equipped with AI Chassis system that uses various sensors and alogorithms to adapt the vehicle's suspension sustaible to the road condition. Therefore making your driving experience always comfortable. NIO have developed their own driving assistance system that includes ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistance System), enabling autonomous driving capabilities with the help of LiDAR, cameras, radar sensors.
