Design and Features

The Skoda Enyaq is based on VW's MEB (Modular Electric Drive Matrix) platform, enabling sleek and modern design giving it a SUV/MPV stance. The Skoda Enyaq is equipped with LED headlights and rear lights which are not combined with line of LED bars as most of today's cars have. This makes the Skoda Enyaq quite unique in terms of design. Kudos to the designing team of Skoda for not compromising on the proportion of the wheel sizes to the body size of Skoda Enyaq. Certainly the Skoda Enyaq looks unique and gives a better road presence than its competition. The Skoda Enyaq is loaded with features that are practical mainly like umbrella in the doors! The Skoda Enyaq is euipped with 13 inch central display with Apple car and Android auto connectivity options. The Skoda Enyaq has plenty of storage compartments. Its has 5 inch Digital Cockpit which is in the field of your vision. Interiors of the Skoda Enyaq are spacious and the full panaromic sun roof adds more spaciousness in the interiors. Besides this the Skoda Enyaq offers 585 litres of boot space which can be increased to 1710 litres by folding the 2nd row seats. The most unique feature of the Skoda Enyaq are the heat pumps that allows it to effiently control the tempurate inside the car without compromising on the range of the vehicle.

Performance

The Skoda Enyaq is equipped with powerful electric motor(s) offered in rear or front and rear configuration depending on the variant. The Skoda Enyaq offered in 4 variants and the output figures are varied. The variants are 60/85/85x, out of which 60 & 85 are rear mounted electric motors producing 177 bhp/310 Nm torque, 282 bhp/ 545 Nm torque respectively. The 85x version is a 4 wheel drive and dual motor setups capable of producing 282 bhp/545 Nm torque. The Skoda Enyaq variants 60/86/85x versions goes from 0 to 100 kmph 8.7s/6.7s/6.6s. Though these figures looks stunning, however all the variants of Skoda Enyaq weigh close to 1900+ kg, which might give the feeling of slugglish performance, however we will try to drive the car in real conditions to comment on this.

Range and Charging

The Skoda Enyaq's 60/85/85x variants are capable of achieving the ranges of 550 km/ 740 km/ 690 km respectively. All variants of the Skoda Enyaq are euipped with lithium-ion battery of rating 55 kWh (60) & 77 kWh (85/85x). Thanks to the Skoda Enyaq's low coefficient of drag 0.243, enables to go more than 400 kms in a single charge. The Skoda Enyaq can charge from 0 to 100% at home with a 7kW AC charger in 9 hours. Where as the DC chargers 50 kW can charge from 20% to 80% in 50 mins. The other 150 kW DC fast charger can charge in 30 mins. The figures may vary due to external factors such as weather conditions and temperature.

Safety features

The Skoda Enyaq is equipped with standard safety features that enabled to receive it 5 Star safety rating from Euro NCAP. The Skoda Enyaq is equipped with 9 air bags with a a generous crumple zones. Addition to this, the Skoda Enyaq is equipped with Multi-collision brake and Proactive Occupant Assist withe rear impact detection. The e-Call functions enables Skoda Enyaq to send the data of vehicle location, number of occupants to the emergency call center on a press of a button. This support is for lifetime and free of cost! Additionally, the driver assistance systems allows the Skoda Enyaq to be safer for the other road users (Cyclists/Pedestriants) by continously monitoring the surroundings.

Pricing and Availability

The Skoda Enyaq is currently available on sale in Europe mainly in UK, Germany, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland. Besides this the Skoda Enyaq is available in selected markets of North America and Asia. The Skoda is checking its possibility to expand its dealer network in new markets mainly in Asia. The pricing of the Skoda Enyaq starting from €44.000 to €57.150 for its top line variants. Additionally the Skoda Enyaq will also be available in Coupe variant in near future with the starting price of €46.850 to €59.400
